A New Venture for Rolton Fire – Birmingham Children’s Hospital

Since 10th April 2006, Rolton Fire has been fulfilling the role of Trust Fire Adviser at Birmingham Children’s Hospital NHS Trust.

This involves us providing an Adviser within the Trust, supported by our team of fire experts from our head office. The comprehensive Fire Adviser role includes -
• The provision of advice and guidance on fire safety to the Chief Executive, project management teams, estates staff and contractors
• Regular inspection and compilation of fire risk assessments of all Trust premises, to ensure they meet the required fire safety standards
• Investigation and follow up of any incidents reported via the Trusts incident reporting process
• Preparation and update of fire policies and procedures for each department and the Trust premises as a whole
• Provision of mandatory training sessions for all Trust staff, and ensure Fire drills are arranged and undertaken by the nominated officer

The Trust benefits from a flexible, high quality and cost effective service, without any of the drawbacks associated with employing a Fire Adviser directly.
